Ready To Go

Hey little baby, I’ve been thinking about you.

Hey little baby, I’ve been dreaming of you.
And I feel--- something moving in me.
And I feel--- as if I can’t breathe.
There’s a fire--- started at my feet.
There’s a fire--- ready to consume me.

Oh I’m ready to go, there’s no more I need to know
Oh I’m ready to go--- Oh---
Oh I’m ready to go---
Oh I’m ready to go---
Oh I’m ready to go--- Oh---

Because the fire’s heat is sweet.
Because my witch’s blood beats deep.
Because my nerve’s dissolved to need,
and the only thing to keep is your kiss
which tastes so sweet.

What I know, I’ll never let go--
even if, the years erase your face
I’ve had a taste of my essence proud and true.
I only hope, to do more than thank you.
You’ve broken through the concrete and the wire,
pulled off my clothes and helped me to aspire
to a freedom which--- is born-- from lack of denial,
to a freedom which--- brings forth my own power.

(Music solo)

And I feel--- something moving in me.
And I feel--- as if I can’t breathe.
There’s a fire--- started at my feet.
There’s a fire--- ready to consume me.
Oh I’m ready to go--- there’s no more I need to know
Oh I’m ready to go--- Oh---
Oh I’m ready to go--- there’s no more I need to know
Oh I’m ready to go--- Oh---
I’m ready to go, you’ve forced me to see my soul.
Oh I’m ready to go--- there’s no more pain I need to know.
I’m ready to go, you’ve changed the child to a woman
Oh I’m ready to go—oh—oh--
