3/15/10 My poem A Perfume that Names Us will be online in Mojo-see poems for more info

My poem The Joining of Women and Children is now online in The Lyrical Somerville, edited by poet Doug Holder.  I hope to add a link to this site.

3/5/10 New blog posted. My April poetry reading is coming up.  Stop by!

3/3/10 Several new blog entries and new performance pictures on the second photo page.

12/11/09My chapbook This Human Heart will be published in 2010 by Cervena Barva Press.  I am very excited about this.  The poem was written over a number of years, started after a Tori Amos concert.  Seeing her beautiful performance on the stage, I felt so low in terms of my own creativity and work.  At that time, I did not know I would meet her years later and give her an early draft of the poem.  With Harris Gardner’s help, who encouraged me to push the language, I now have a final draft I am very satisfied with.  I worked on illustrations as well, as I envisioned a chapbook similar to graphic comic books. Gloria and I will meet in January to discuss. As a result of this, I've pushed back a couple of features scheduled for February.  Please check  the updated ‘Performances’ page.

12/2/09 So far I have three readings scheduled for 2010!  Check out 'Performances' under 'What's New.'  I am also making a commitment to you that I will write more blogs—check out my blog section for a recent addition.7/29/09 How May I Help You? will be published in the next online issue of Spoonful: http://spoonfuljournal.blogspot.com

I plan to adjust the format of my poetry page and also (finally) put up clips of my songs! Soon!  Soon!

3/9/2009: My poem The Crescendo is in issue two of Mojo!.  This is a great new literary online journal.  They are actively seeking new submissions, and I recommend them highly: http://mapsonejournal.wordpress.com/

My poem: Keeping it Bloody has been published by Epic Rites: http://epicrites.typepad.com/epicritespress/lines-written-w-a-razor.html and Inside published by The Abysson  www.abyssgazesalso.com.  Check them out!

2/23/09:  After a small hiatus of laziness I am back and at em.  Today I added to my blog.  Check out Spoonful http://spoonfuljournal.blogspot.com to read my poem The Confession as well as other marvelous poets including the irreplaceable Mike Amado who sadly passed away the beginning of the year.  Recently my poem The Weeping Willow was published by Bellowing Ark http://www.bellowingark.org, an exciting honor.  Poesy http://www.poesy.org/ published my poem Dreams and Death.  The submission process is hard—a lot of energy and a lot of no’s, but if you want your work to be read by others, it must be done.  A wonderful writer and friend, Chad Parenteau, has a new website.  You can access it by going to my website area.

12/5/08: Two of my poems: Fate and Remains will be published January 2009 in Wilderness House Literary Review.  WHL Review is a beautiful journal that is looking for wonderful poems and fiction. Check out their website!  http://www.whlreview.com/

11/10/08: I found out today that two of my poems: I Found Him by the Ocean and For My Children will be published by Twisted Tongue (http://www.twistedtongue.co.uk/) in February of 2009 issue 13.  They are very dark pieces, one in the voice of a child molester, the other in the voice of a soon to be murder victim.  They will be a strange and fascinating Yin and Yang.

10/31/08: Happy Halloween! I've added a new clip: an interview with Debbie Priestly for her Stone Soup Poets show at CCTV.  It is divided into three clips. Go to the Publicity tab to access it.

10/27/08: First clip added.  Go to the Publicity page to see me read my poem, Dinner With You.

10/19/08: Update to my blog.  Also, one of my poems, Jamaica’s Past, was accepted for the first issue of MoJo! The Maps One Journal, edited and created by Mignon Ariel King.  Check out the lovely site at:
